Diary for December 2008
02.04.09 (9:16 pm) [edit]
Peace on earth, ... Bread and joy in Africa ... It is December 2008 ... The last months of the year, leaving traces of life and prosperity. The skies of Burkina Faso and in general throughout West Africa, were generous with the land, it was given plenty of water that germinated their fields ... many smiles on the lips of many farmers and dreams of hope come true ... At last, granaries, full of dowels of millet and maize cobs presage a time of security. At the same time things are expensive, very very expensive in the market. The people are suffering but, in the twilight of 2008, the air is launched with a cry of tenderness, of gratitude and hope: HAPPY CHRISTMAS! To begin again, like a little bud that opens up into a flower.
It's a time of grace, in which heaven and earth join together in Love, to give their fruit ... God, come down from on high through Mary. Man has a thirst for God "as dry land, without water ...," but the world does not recognise God. We walk distracted picking flowers which seem to look beautiful but are not long lasting.
There you have Awa, with a dream of studying but does not have the money to do so. We also have to Mariam, sick with drepanocytism & pain that does not let her sleep. Adjaratou comes with her handicapped granddaughter who can not walk and young Assita who has to sell ‘sumalan’ to keep her family alive and hundreds of people who come to our door asking for help. United with their feelings of hope, open to a better future, I send you my Christmas Greetings. This is my Christmas message. From these African lands, to which you bring happiness with your love, your memories and your love, prayer & support.
God has been good to us this 2008.
